Groom your own dog
Guided Workshop

Already Grooming your own dog but not 100% confident?

Learn how to groom and maintain your own dog safely and properly — guided inside a real grooming academy by Certified Master Groomers.

You might already be clipping your dog at home…

But if you’re:

  • second-guessing what you’re doing
  • unsure if it’s safe
  • or never quite getting a proper finish

…it’s not your fault — you’ve likely never been shown the right way.

This workshop gives you hands-on guidance so you can:

  • understand what your dog actually needs
  • avoid common mistakes that cause stress or injury
  • and feel confident maintaining your dog between professional grooms

    Important:

This workshop is designed for people working on their own dog.

It is not for those wanting to groom other people’s dogs or work professionally.

Professional grooming is a skilled craft that requires significantly more training, practice, and real-salon experience than can be covered in a two-day workshop.

What This Workshop Looks Like

  • 2 days of hands-on training
  • Small group (maximum 4 people)
  • Bring your own dog
  • Guided step-by-step by professional groomers
  • Held inside a working grooming academy

You won’t be watching.

You’ll be doing — with support the whole way through.

Investment

$1,200 per person

Why such small groups?

Because this isn’t a demonstration.

You’ll get:

  • individual guidance
  • help specific to your dog
  • real-time correction so you don’t build bad habits

What You’ll Learn (And Actually Do)

You won’t be left guessing.

This is hands-on, guided learning on your own dog — with support at every step.

Over the two days, you’ll:

• Understand your dog’s coat, condition, and what it actually needs• Learn how to safely use clippers (without creating lines, patches, or stress)• Be shown simple, practical scissoring for tidying — not perfection, just clean and manageable• Learn how to properly brush and prep so grooming becomes easier (not harder)• Confidently clip nails, clean ears, and maintain hygiene areas• Wash and dry your dog the right way — which makes all the difference to the final result• Work through a full groom step-by-step with guidance the whole way

How the two days flow:

Day 1 — Foundations + Prep

  • Understanding your dog and coat type
  • Safe tool use (clippers, brushes, basics)
  • Nails, pads, hygiene, brushing techniques
  • Demo: bathing and drying
  • Start preparing your own dog

Day 2 — Full Groom

  • Wash and dry your dog
  • Learn to clip the body safely
  • Guided shaping and tidying
  • Finish your dog with support throughout

Tools:

Bring whatever tools you currently have at home.

We’ll check them with you and let you know:

  • what’s suitable
  • what’s holding you back
  • what you don’t actually need to waste money on

You’ll also have access to professional tools while you’re here — so you can feel the difference before deciding what to invest in.

If upgrades would genuinely help, we’ll guide you toward the right options (no pressure, no overselling).
